What is HD HPE PRO?

HD HPE PRO means ‘Hard drive head and platter exchanger Professional’! HD HPE PRO is used to replace heads and platters from both 2.5″ and 3.5″ IDE/SATA drives;

♣ Advantages: Excellent for drives without spacer and drives with 3 platters or below, especially the workbench creates a stable working environment to operate on the hard disk, easy to remove the heads without using the platter exchanger;

♣ Disadvantages:  For drives with spacer,  it is impossible to remove all the platters at one time!

♣ Upgrade: It’s claimed there would be a upgrade for HD HPE PRO to support hard drives with spacer, but so far it hasn’t been released, waiting and see!

♣ Mystery Thing about this tool:  From their support engineers,  we learnt they can swap the platter one by one with HD HPE PRO without destroying the data!

For head and platter replacement, people usually compare HDRC tools(India) and HD HPE PRO, actually it makes no sense and we haven’t found some positive comments about HDRC tools.  Many data recovery engineers have some self-made solutions which are very nice, however, this is their own secret for business success but you can get some idea of Youtube videos.
