What is logicube forensic talon?
Computer forensic Talon is a PC-attached forensic data capture system designed for the requirements of law enforcement, military, corporate security, investigators, and auditors. The forensic Talon simultaneously images and verifies data at up to 4 GB/min. The system supports IDE/SATA drives, and can capture SCSI drives via USB cable. Capture directly from desktop/laptop PCs and MAC computers (via PC interface) using the Forensic cloning software included with the Talon. Optional adapters are available for capture from 1.8”, 2.5”, and compact flash drives.

♣ What kind of problems is Forensic Talon able to handle?
-Keyword search — Search for words and Store multiple groups of pre-defined keyword lists on compact flash. Retrieve search results directly to Windows. Search for suspect names, phone numbers, and any other incriminating information. Add new words while in the field, using the built-in keypad.
-capture data with options of MD5 or SHA-256 verification
-create DD images on the fly– allows users to create DD images at in sizes of 650 MB, 2 GB & 4GB.
-Unidirectional data transfer– Copies only from the external data source to prevent inadvertent over-writing or corruption of a suspect’s drive.
-wipe out the destination drive prior to capture a suspect drive

Logicube has been in hard drive duplication field for years and the products is quite mature with full ranges of optional softwares and accessories. Forensic talon is the newly released forensic orientated data capture tool and seems desirable, only if you can afford to equip the system with all the necessary gadgets and softwares.
